Systems Engineer IV, L3Harris Technologies, 2015 - Present

  • Primary focus has been in network engineering involving Software Defined Networking (SDN) technologies to include OpenVswitch, VMware NSX, VXLAN, and virtualization technologies to include Linux KVM and VMware vSphere.
  • Develop and maintain custom Linux base routers both in physical form as well as virtual. These routers are used in several ISR platforms and make up an integral part of our ground infrastructure at our three main Service Centers and several of our remote Reach Centers.
  • Developed and integrated the networking solution allowing the Army Gray Eagle ISR platform to fly its first Remote Split Operations mission.

Field Support Engineer, L-3 Communications CS-West, 2004 - 2015 

  • Seven years on the Predator program at Creech AFB, Nellis AFB, Davis-Monthan AFB and 5 deployed locations. Very experienced on multiple ground station SATCOM terminals and datalink equipment. Functioned as site lead at Davis-Monthan AFB and Creech AFB. Single handedly opened a site location at Davis-Monthan and one forward operating location in Iraq.
  • Four years on the U2 program at two forward operating locations. Experienced on both ground station and airborne operation for the U2 program to include Modular Interoperable Surface Terminal 2 (MIST-2) and Dual Data Link 2 (DDL2). In addition served as COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) for both locations; to include CRO support for an entire squadron.
  • Developed the department FSR database and the Field Management manning projection utility used exclusively by the Field Organization. Received the Silver Achievement Award for producing both utilities. It has become field policy that these products be used regularly.

 PC Support Technician, EnergySolutions (formerly Envirocare of Utah), 2003 - 2004

  • Provided technical support for all computer network devices and workstations. Managed helpdesk and bug tracking system. Trained employees on company processes and applications. 

 Computer Software Instuctor / IT Manager, New Horizons Computer Learning Center, 2002 - 2003

  • Managed network of over 200 PCs. Taught CompTIA A+ and Network+ courses. Taught multiple 8 hour software courses to an average of 30 students daily to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, FrontPage, Project, Photoshop and others.
